Located in the Waterside Village of Reynolds Great Waters, Southern Tide is a colorful 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom cottage whose cozy interior and lake view make it easy to trade in schedules and alarm clocks for lazy mornings and barefoot chats on the screened back porches. Just a short walk from a variety of amenities, this charming 2-story home is centrally located among the vibrant activity of Lake Oconee while still remaining a tranquil retreat on a shaded corner lot, perfect for a romantic weekend getaway or a family vacation.Relaxation at our cottage begins with the first steps up the front porch. Two rocking chairs wait for occupants to enjoy a lingering conversation while watching the sunset parade of walkers and their four-legged friends. Inside the front door, the living area is awash in natural light that streams in from the screened porch and clerestory windows. Sink into one of two sofas, binge your favorite shows, step out the sliding glass doors for some fresh air, or enjoy the unmistakable crackle of a wood-burning fire in cooler seasons. The open-concept floor plan transitions to the kitchen, which offers granite countertops, oversize pantry, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, stovetop oven, and microwave. There also a full-size washer and dryer recessed behind folding doors. Whether it’s breakfast in or a buffet of take-out, there’s plenty of seating for 6 at the dining table, with 2 more at the more intimate bistro table. Or, take the feast to the screened porch, where a propane grill and outdoor table and chairs welcome al fresco dining with inspiring vistas and gentle breezes.
Also on the main level is a convenient powder room. Across the hall is the master suite with a queen bed, wall-mounted flatscreen tv, and private access to relaxing seating on the expansive screened back porch. The spacious ensuite bathroom has been recently renovated and boasts a double vanity with granite countertop, walk-in closet, and an oversized walk-in tiled shower.
With its watercolor-inspired risers, even the staircase reminds guests that it’s time to unwind! Opening up to a balcony that overlooks the living area, the second floor showcases two guest rooms, one with a queen bed and flatscreen TV and the other with two twins (and trundles), with each room featuring a private entrance to the upstairs screened porch that offers panoramic aerial views and ample seating. Across the hall from the guest rooms is a full bath with a double vanity and tub with tiled shower.
With its coveted location inside a premium golf community, Southern Tide offers both comfort and convenience, with the Great Waters marina, clubhouse, and driving range all within walking distance. Nearby, Waterside Village is a hub of activity with something for everyone: day-use docks, swimming pool, tennis court and beach (with fire pit).
At 19,000 acres, Lake Oconee is Georgia’s second-largest lake and is just outside the door. Guests can experience fun under the sun by boat, float, ski, kayak, or canoe. If you’re feeling a little water-logged, 21 miles of hiking and biking trails wind throughout Reynolds. For less strenuous entertainment, there are 10 on-site restaurants among the Reynolds properties, each one meticulously designed to accommodate an assortment of palates. For the ultimate indulgence, a 30,000 square-foot spa retreat is located at The Ritz-Carlton and offers a rich menu of services and treatments. Be sure to check about guest access, as some venues may be restricted to members or residents. Minutes away, you can browse antique shops, boutiques, and local eateries in historic Madison (recently named the Number-One Small Town in America), Greensboro, and Eatonton.
