From anniversary trips to family reunions, this 3-bedroom, 3-bath cottage offers two levels of immaculate accommodations and stellar deep-water views that make the world stand still.
Situated at the edge of a cove that’s home to the Linger Longer Marina, Lookout provides a unique dual vantage point: to the left, the parade of marina watercraft – a delight for people-watchers and boat enthusiasts; to the right, a sprawling vista of one of Lake Oconee’s main channels. Just steps away is a pedestrian trail that winds around the shoreline and draws residents, guests, and their four-legged family members out for relaxing strolls. During twilight hours, sit back in one of two rocking chairs and take in the brilliant hues of a southwest-facing private outdoor theatre.
The natural sunlight that illuminates the screened porch continues through the wall of windows and glass door to an open-concept floor plan that connects living, dining, and kitchen. The living area boasts a leather sofa, loveseat, and oversized armchair, all anchored by a log fireplace and wall-mounted flatscreen TV with plenty of cable options. In warm months, the touch of a button controls the overhead ceiling fan for gentle breezes. The kitchen and dining area allow for easy mealtime traffic flow. All the appliances are stainless steel and include a side-by-side refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and stovetop oven with grill feature. The cabinets are stocked with plenty of dinnerware and cookware, and there’s a 12-cup drip coffee maker that will fill the space with the aroma of your favorite roasted blend. Gather around the six-capacity dining table for memorable conversations or a friendly game of cards. In mild weather, take advantage of the porch’s glass tabletop and four rattan chairs that provide the ultimate al fresco experience.
Off the living area is one of two bedrooms on the main level. The master suite is furnished with a plush king bed, dresser, flatscreen TV, and walk-in closet. The lake-facing wall is lined with clear plate-glass windows for a spectacular panorama, and there’s a private entrance to the adjacent screened porch. The en suite bath features a double-vanity granite countertop and a step-in tiled shower, all accented with brushed bronze fixtures.
The second room on the main level welcomes guests with a comfortable queen bed, leather armchair, dresser, and a flatscreen TV neatly ensconced behind the doors of an elegant armoire. Next door is a tiled full bath with granite vanity and private shower room. There is also a laundry nook with a full-size washer and dryer at the ready.
The second level opens up to an office/lounge area with a reading bench that overlooks the cove below. There are two oversized armchairs perfect for catnaps, catching up on social media, or kicking back after a long day under the sun. The loft bedroom is ideal for kids or kids-at-heart. Its sitting area is outfitted with a loveseat and flatscreen TV with streaming options. Steps away are a queen bed and a twin. Down the hall is a full bath whose location is convenient for guests on the upper level but removed enough from the loft to provide minimal disturbance by night owls or early birds.

5 Star All The Way!! Lookout Point is a lovely home to enjoy the beauty of Lake Oconee! The back porch with rocking chairs and dining set that overlooks the lake is the perfect place to begin and end each day. The location is absolutely perfect; close the the marina, easy access to get anywhere. The house is perfectly appointed, is extremely comfortable and clean and has everything you need! All you need to do is show up and enjoy! We will be back!

Lookout Point was fantastic. We spent Memorial Day weekend there and everything was flawless. The views from the den and master bedroom are super! The best part was being able to dock our boat right outside the back door on the boardwalk. I wassurprised we were able to find a spot given it was a holiday weekend but we did each day. The property manager was also great! We sent a request on Fri night to add guests to security gate and the handles within minutes after hours on a holiday weekend!?! Granted, the place isn’t cheap, but well worth the money. We already tried to book another long weekend in July but the dates are all taken so we are out of luck this year.

Loved the location Access to easy and well managed by the St. James team. St James checked on us while were there, and overall did a great Job! Wished there was a BBQ grill. Access to the public charcoal grill is not easy Master Bedroommattress/bedding needs upgrade, quality of sleep significantly improves desire to rent again Overall great property.

The home was excellent for our needs. The location was great. The only complaint I have was there was only 2 trash bags. We had guests over for breakfast and ran out of trash bags.

We loved the home! It was a great location, right on the water, and we were able to dock our boat right in front of the house! The home is a duplex, the neighbor next door is very friendly and welcoming! The home is very clean with comfortable furnishings. We brought our family for a holiday weekend and came prepared to eat all of our meals in. I wish the kitchen was better equipped for cooking. Sharp cutting knives, a gas stove would be nice! The dishwasher wasn’t working our whole stay so it made cleanup more work! Other than that, we really loved staying there! Location, location, location! This was just perfect for our family!

We had a great stay at Lookout Point! The House was very spacious with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Everything was clean and ready for our arrival at check in. We especially enjoyed sitting out on the dock during the day time, and the lake views from the master bedroom and back porch. No complaints — we would rent this unit again!

Loved this rental home!!! This is our 4th time renting and coming back in July. Loved the Keurig--now we don't have to bring ours. Best VIEW with marina/ferry to Great Waters right there!!! We lived on the screened in back porch!! Suggestions--update bedding/linens in the downstairs guest room and an ironing board would be helpful.

We had a wonderful stay in this charming home. Beautifully decorated and amazing view. You can walk to the marina to rent a boat , and we paddled boarded right from the back yard. Easy access to miles of walking trails. Great location !!!! Mychildren enjoyed the small beach on the other slide of the marina. The only thing I would recommend would be a grill. Other then that absolutely perfect. Reynolds is amazing ! Highly recommend the new tavern for dinner , and the new pickle ball courts in the landing !
