What could be more picturesque than a classically designed white cottage with front porch rocking chairs and backyard access to a shaded park, all while being situated in the middle of a gated resort community along pristine shoreline? If this description sounds too good to be true, you’ll have to visit this lake and golf paradise to experience for yourself the laid-back luxury offered by this 3-bedroom, 2.5-bath retreat and its surrounding natural beauty.The main level provides plenty of space for traffic flow with an open-concept design of the kitchen, dining, and living area. The kitchen is fully stocked with cookware and serving ware and comes equipped with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances including a dishwasher, stovetop oven, microwave, and refrigerator. The dining table offers seating for up to six with two additional cushioned barstools that can be pulled up to the extended counter.
With its vaulted ceiling and multiple windows, the living area is light and airy and is furnished with a sofa, two oversized armchairs, flatscreen TV, log fireplace, and built-in bookcases. Around the corner is also a powder room and a laundry nook with a full-size washer and dryer.
A master on main provides a private oasis with a king bed, dresser, flatscreen TV, and private bath with granite countertop, soaker tub, and step-in glass shower.
From both the master suite and the living area, guests can access the real showstopper: the screened porch that runs the width of the house and boasts a table for six and an adjacent lounge area with cushioned outdoor furniture. It surrounds a wood-burning fireplace and a flatscreen TV recessed behind two French panels. In mild weather, this space beckons al fresco dining, fireside stories, and impassioned commentary while watching the Masters or college football. A few steps off the porch is a paved walkway to the community gazebo, shaded by the canopy of surrounding trees. Just a short walk away is the Linger Longer marina and pavilion.
Upstairs are two guest bedrooms on either side of a balcony that overlooks the living area. A queen bed in one room and two twin beds in the other provide plenty of comfort and space for additional guests. Both rooms share a full bath with granite vanity and tub/shower.
Whether guests are pining for a getaway filled with golf, fishing, boating, or watching peaceful sunrises, Marina Cottage is convenient to all of it and situated just minutes from local shopping and dining. Right outside the gates of Reynolds Lake Oconee are Publix, PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans, The French Hare interiors, and several neighboring boutiques. A few minutes south on 44, explore Harmony Crossing, home to some of our favorite cafes, restaurants, and retail shops. We also recommend visiting the historic districts of downtown Eatonton and downtown Greensboro. Be sure to check out the local events, festivals, and farmer’s markets, too!

Wonderful home

Our family frequents Reynold’s and have stayed at many properties throughout the community. We were pleased with the location, space and layout of the home. The back deck was our most favorite and most used! The area behind the home was excellent for our kids to run and play. The walking distance to the water was amazing! Highly recommend!

Just wanted to thank you so much for all of your help during our recent stay. When we first checked in, there was some full blown construction going on in the attached unit, which threatened to destroy our peaceful and relaxing vacation. We notified your office and within a few hours, you were able to relocate us to another unit which was perfect. We had a very enjoyable stay and look forward to retuning again very soon!!

Our weekend stay at Marina Cottage was just lovely! We enjoyed the beautiful fall foliage surrounding the cottage and the short walk to the lake! The cottage was well stocked and cozy and the staff made it all the more inviting. Communication with the staff was outstanding when we had to ask a few questions! They were easy to message and quick to respond! I would certainly rent the cottage again!

This villa is a very short walk to the marina. Great stay if you are bringing or renting a boat or jet ski. Both indoor and porch areas are inviting and comfortable. Despite being in a neighborhood it felt very private including the screened Back porch. Host sends email and text with links to local interests, restaurants, and activities, nice touch. We traveled with 4 teenagers with different interest and there was plenty of space for everybody and their interests. Great rental definitely recommend and will stay again.

The cottage was so comfortable and well appointed. We especially enjoyed the screen porch and tv area. A few details needed to be taken care of, and we wish there was a BBQ Grill - wonder if there was one at some time as there were bbq utensils butno grill 🙁 Communication was ok. The only comment is that some of my questions were never answered and I would have liked to have just been told yes/no answer. I would give this stay a 4.5/5 stars.
